Welcome to this blog
This is the only blog that comes straight from the desk of the upper management of a medical school celebrating 10 successful years in the Caribbean. This blog provides useful info about med schools outside the US, articles & links, and gives you a sneak peak in to the daily operations of a med school. Post your opinions, & questions about everything from choosing a school, USMLE, clinical rotations to the residency match and licensing.

ReplyDeleteCool Site. Do all Caribbean medical schools graduates have the same chance of working in the US?
ReplyDeleteHow is the admission process is hard to get in.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, SJSM prides itself by guaranteeing rotation to all students with almost no waiting time.
ReplyDeleteAdmission Process
ReplyDeleteOnce your application has been submitted it will take between two and three weeks to receive a response. Please note that there is rolling admission three times a year for sessions beginning in January, May and September. You are required to submit the following information to determine if you are eligible for acceptance into Saint James School of Medicine:
• A completed application form.
• Personal essay explaining your reasons for becoming
a physician.
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended (MD applicants
only).
• Official high school transcripts (Premed applicants only).
• 2 letters of recommendation.
• One-page brief resume
• Two passport size color photos (2"X 2").
• TOFEL scores (If applicable).
• Nonrefundable application fee of $50.00 (U.S. fifty).
Following final acceptance, you will be instructed to deposit $1,000 (one thousand U.S. dollars non-refundable) to reserve your seat at SJSM. The dollar amount will be credited to your first semester tuition. Upon payment of the remaining balance you will receive a welcome packet containing pertinent information on how to settle down in Bonaire, how to prepare for classes and other documents required to apply for a residence permit in Bonaire. (See residency requirements).
Is there any way to change my admission application from january to may. I was unclear on the admission process and that there could be admission in may
